Ignacio Yarur earned a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.

He joined Bci in 2004, and has developed or directed nearly all the Bank's business units, including Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Private Banking, MACH digital banking, and Data & Analytics. He has also served as an advisor to Bci’s US-based bank, City National Bank of Florida, and was an attorney with the law firm Carey y Cia. Ltda.

 After 19 years as a member of the Bci executive team, he joined the Bci Financial Group Board. He also serves on the boards of Enseña Chile, Fundación YA, Fundación Chile Mujeres, Fundación Lago Colico, MAS Analytics, Empresas Jordan and Empresas Juan Yarur, among others.
