Christian Sundblad serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Wholesale & International Banking Executive at CNB, where he oversees Corporate Banking, Specialty Finance, International Private Banking, and Capital Markets.

Christian brings more than 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he was the Global Head for Citibank Product Commercial Bank, appointed in August 2022, based in New York. Throughout his career at Citi, which he joined in 2006, Christian led multiple businesses in Corporate & Investment Banking and Commercial Banking across various geographies, including Latin America. His leadership significantly contributed to the strategic direction, growth, profitability, team collaboration, connectivity to Citi’s global network, and deepening client relationships.

Christian has held several key leadership positions, such as CCB Regional Head for Mexico in 2021, where he led a transformation that returned the business to growth and revamped the coverage model. Prior to that, he led the Global Subsidiaries Group in Mexico for six years. He also served as Corporate Bank Head at Banco de Chile and held leadership roles in Mining, Power & Energy, Water Utilities, and the Public sector, as well as Retail Industry Head at Citibank Chile. Christian consistently drove revenue turnarounds and strong wallet share gains in all these roles.

Before his tenure at Citi, Christian worked for seven years in senior roles within Corporate & Investment Banking at Banco Santander in both Chile and Argentina.

Christian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Católica of Argentina and a Master of Business Administration degree from IAE Management and Business School in Argentina.
